Due to the artisanal nature of our collections and the natural origins of our stones, slight variations in color, texture, and shape may occur. These subtle nuances are completely natural—meaning no two pieces of jewelry will look exactly alike. It is this very uniqueness that makes your Yann & Co. pieces truly yours.
Daily Wear & Maintenance
Everyday Care
To maintain the brilliance of your jewelry, we recommend removing your pieces during activities such as exercising, swimming, or heavy cleaning. Avoid letting your jewelry come into contact with harsh household chemicals, chlorine, and cosmetics.
If your pieces require a refresh, simply clean them gently using mild soap, warm water, and a very soft toothbrush. Always ensure they are completely dry before storing.
✦ Delicate Stones & Pearls
Certain organic and porous stones, such as Opals, Turquoise, and Pearls, require mindful care. Please do not expose them to alcohol-based substances like perfumes and hand sanitizers.
Exposure to these chemical solvents can permanently alter the delicate surface of the stones, resulting in a loss of natural luster or a change in color. Turquoise should only be wiped gently with a soft cloth—never brushed. Pearls should always be stored flat and separated to avoid surface scratching.
Metals & Plating
Preserving the Finish
Over time, metals may naturally oxidize or lose a bit of their initial shine. While solid silver or brass components can be gently buffed with a jewelry polishing cloth, please refrain from aggressively polishing gold-plated jewelry, as friction will eventually wear away the delicate plating.
*Note: A small percentage of individuals may experience a natural sensitivity to brass, which can occasionally leave a temporary, harmless tint on the skin (especially with rings). If this occurs, we recommend clear jewelry lacquers or reaching out to our Client Concierge for styling alternatives.
The Art of Storage
Moisture is the greatest enemy of brilliance. To prevent tarnishing, always store your jewelry in a cool, dry area. The smallest amount of humidity in the air can accelerate oxidation.
We recommend storing your pieces in your provided Yann & Co. pouch or a lined jewelry box. For extra precaution, you may place an anti-tarnish strip inside your storage box. If your jewelry ever comes into contact with water, sweat, or perfume, be sure to gently wipe it completely dry before putting it away. By following these simple rituals, your pieces will remain effortlessly elegant for years to come.
